I am trying to appeal to the common sense of Dr. Hooft. How is it acceptable that the referee claims that my manuscript contains errors but does not list a single one?

Dr. Benedictus agreed with my appeal and with the fact that the referee comments are not adequate. However, he requests that the tone of the paper should be less polemic.
